Rudy Svorinich, Jr., former President Pro Tempore of the Los Angeles
City Council.
Councilman Svorinich
served eight years on the City Council. Prior to being elected, he
served as a Chief Deputy for the 51st California State
Assembly District , vice-president of two Harbor Area Chambers of
Commerce and was as a small business owner. Svorinich’s district
included the Port of Los Angeles. Svorinich also served as Chairman of
the Board of Governors of the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority
- the largest surface transportation project in the history of the
United States - and two Base Re-Alignment and Closure (BRAC) Committees
for the City of Los Angeles. He was also chairman of the city’s ad hoc
committee on waterfront development for the Port of Los Angeles. |
